Title: air intake behind license plate. Post by: bullitt on March 20, 2007, 11:33:40 am in italy i saw lot of this hole (maybe they are easy to imagine cause we have big license plates) to cool engine without using cabrio hoods or opened by stands). they just cut square hole and lift a little the plate with some bushing.
can they work well in your opinion? when i see them i ask to myself if position is high enoungh not to retake hot air exiting from the engine underside.....what do u think guys? I have the SLP claw on my car and wanted to increase the airflow to it, but I've taken the front number plate off and crawled around the engine bay, and can't for the life of me see how you would get the air ducting from the front plate to the claw???can air intake (http://www.carparts.com/Spectra-Premium-Air-Intake-and-Fuel-Systems/4199999966-600021922.car) work well in your opinion? when i see them i ask to myself if position is high enoungh not to retake hot air exiting from the engine underside.....what do u think guys? Same here. Upright Porsche cooling fan and shroud, and large license plate here in the UK allowed me to use a hole saw and cut a number of 2 1/2 inch holes behind the plate. This area sit very close to the porker fan so its gotta help. Cheers Tony[attachment=1] Title: Re: air intake behind license plate.
