It looks good on plastic dash pad beetles. I'm not sure but I guess mexican beetles with ball joint front axle have the small steering column too. Don't know if you can find one easily in the US though, I can measure the diameter of the mounting for you if you want to be sure it fits.

You are in Belgium, they often pop on internet between 100 and 150€, be patient and you may find one for a decent price. I bought mine 30€ but it was almost 7 years ago. ::)
