That was my favorite chopped Bug of all time. We had a nice red one in D.K.K. too. I have a few of the old KLOS, KMET, and the old new wave/punk era KNAC ones, too. Title: Re: Old Stickers Post by: 61SNRF on November 23, 2010, 02:18:01 am [attachment=1]
Here are some of my old collection. I never wanted to put them on my tool box, so I put them on this creeper. My favorite one is probably the Tayco one for the color and graphics. Notice the gray paint splatter? That's from when we painted the floors at Rolling's Automotive, I rolled around on it and cut in the corners :) Title: Re: Old Stickers Post by: Bill Schwimmer on November 23, 2010, 02:31:12 am I wonder what ever happend to Mike Martinez's black chop top...?????? It says "Good Head the Same Day" then underneath is the name and phone number. ;) Title: Re: Old Stickers Post by: Rennsurfer on November 23, 2010, 03:35:46 am (http://cal-look.no/lounge/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=14283.0;attach=46781;image) Here are some of my old collection. When I left that place I pulled up my pants...went to a VW dealer and doubled my income. But that was a long long time ago...C'est la vie! Kinda miss Vaughn :( Title: Re: Old Stickers Post by: Bryan67 on November 23, 2010, 05:25:01 am My old tool box. Hated to sell it for a bigger box but i had to, The new owner probably has no appreciation for the stickers at all.

Title: Re: Old Stickers Post by: deano on November 24, 2010, 01:35:31 am One of my old tool boxes, now here in our back room. Notice the rare BAE sticker in front, along with the Brad's Upholstery one, Bug-In something.... Lonnie Reed's Head Shop on the side... On the top there's a late-model DDS one, original Race Shop, Bonneville 1972 and chrome FAT.

Our very own Marc & Vince Ito were responsible for those. Marc's shop and Vince did the art werke on the stickers. Always wanted a t-shirt like that. I still have one or two of those unused stickers. Nice thread..Si Title: Re: Old Stickers Post by: deano on November 24, 2010, 17:15:12 pm I think the sand dragster on Lonnie's sticker was known as the "Hair Drier"'. Phil, I do not think Lonnie was into turbos that early on. Most VW sand dragsters used dual IDAs during that time, as A/Fuel was a little exotic during the early late '70s for most VW guys (except Kawell and Longergot of course!). I believe the dragster shown in the logo was actually owned by Sand Tires Unlimited's (late) Dave Beckett. But the graphics shown were a Lane Evans addition. Keith, those shirts were most Penny Towncraft T-shirts, or perhaps early Anvil. There was most likely a pale yellow or buff color one as well. Speaking of the Meguiar's sticker, I met one of the founding family at a custom car show in Anaheim with my old '67, and he helped me wax my car so it would look better under the show lights. From that point on, I was a big Meguiar fan!
