Just wanted to know peoples views on American spec bumpers with the use of Lucas 488 indicators has it been done successfully before pics would be useful thanks in advance

To be honest, the reason for installing Lucas turn signals was to declutter the car. This is very much at odds with the concept of running US-spec bumpers, with their cumbersome 'towel-rails'. One or the other – not both. And preferably not the bumpers… IMHO, of course. ;)

Thanks Keith, were my initial thought, just having got a fender bender in the last week bumpers seem so much more appealing on the bug. Think you have a point though T bars may be the way forward. Cheers Alex

thanks for the pic, cool looking car just not sure the look is what would work on my bug after all think the t-bars or maybe buggy bars could be the way forward. Alex

Something a bit different on mine - the bumper is only fitted for UK MOT purposes, however there's a problem there as can be seen in this photo - depending on the placement of the Lucas they can be obscured by the over-riders and you're looking at an MOT fail - fortunately I'm friendly with the MOT man  ;)

alex no idea about the company who made them i 've buy those one to a vw shop in my town , if i remember those are the BBT one
