Title: IDA Prices Post by: louisb on December 08, 2010, 16:04:35 pm Is it just me or has the price of good used IDAs fallen through the floor? It is almost more expensive to get a good set of IDFs or Dells now. I keep seeing good used Italian IDAs for less than $700.

Title: Re: IDA Prices Post by: gibber! on December 09, 2010, 03:36:10 am ....maybe prices (on most things, not just carbs) are becoming a little more realistic after years of over inflation.
:-* Title: Re: IDA Prices Post by: Speed-Randy on December 09, 2010, 04:11:12 am I found them on the samba, 3-4 sets for about $700 each
Title: Re: IDA Prices Post by: 2manytoys on December 09, 2010, 04:29:18 am Shop wisely! Some of the so-called "good" deals are not so good. a set of IDAs for 700 or 600 or even $500 may be in need of full restoration and possibley parts stuck or loose shafts, poorly executed 3rd hole...etc. A set of chokes and jet stacks will set you back quite a bit, and that "good" deal ain't so good when you need $200-$300 worth of parts just to get started.
The spanish,..made in 'blank' carbs are a good deal. Not Italian, but same carb for the most part. It is worth the time finding a complete unmolested set of IDAs and pay a few bucks more. Title: Re: IDA Prices Post by: Kaferdog on December 09, 2010, 09:09:28 am Yeah..... I have seen alot of this also .....!..... :o
Title: Re: IDA Prices Post by: Bruce on December 09, 2010, 09:23:29 am Beware, there's a pair on the Samba right now that appears to have one drain welded up.
Title: Re: IDA Prices Post by: . on December 09, 2010, 14:36:11 pm I recently bought a pair of very early Italian IDA's for $500.00 !

Are you insinuating that there are dishonest people on the samba :o :o shocking!!! one might even say scandalous!!! I agree, the spanish webers work just fine, and I know I'm going to start a shitstorm here, but..... the empi carbs work fantastic now as well. That is of course if you can get past all the haters :-[, but they are 2/3 the price for what amounts to the exact same thingThe spanish,..made in 'blank' carbs are a good deal.
