Who will be there on Sunday 12th for the premiere of the European Bug-In teams movie on the gasser wars in the sixties and seventies?

The Wunderwaffe will there in full force. I'm sure DAS will be there, I heard DFL sends some ambassadors and DVK will join as well. Our beloved Uncle is probably crossing the channel as we speak and a certain brown car that speaks French is on the road. Who else will be representing?

Absolutely incredible work! I was spellbound from start to finish – one of the best pieces of movie editing I have seen and without doubt the best VW-related DVD ever made.

My sincere congratulations to everyone concerned with this project, and thank you to Mike, Freddy and Kobus for inviting me out to Brussels to view it.

And Kobus, thanks for the tour of Brussels in your Bug! :)

I can't remember that last image being in the film! Other than that, marvelous film, lots of incredible MOVING old cars  :o Such a welcome change to the stills in the Bible.

And the viewing was great as well, don't tell me no one made images except the Russel relieving himself (caption contest) one?

Like an old man sitting on the front porch… "Well let me tell ya sonny, I remember when I bought my first Model T Ford…"  ;D

I must say... hearing all these kind words... Thanks Keith... without YOU (well... your Book) We would have never been here! I think that the Lounge wouldn't have existed, and EBI.. and the return of the Bug Ins in the USA... etc etc etc...

From what I've heard, it was awesome!!

Credit goes To Mike for the great-great job. And after thanking all the others like Keith Sueme, I would especially like to say thanks to Kobus and Fastfred, because without the threesome from the EBI this film would never been made!!  Altough Mike did most of the hard work, like interviewing in Hawaii :)

it was very nice. i am very fortunate to have been there, and as it was a really, really great movie. i think everyone was in awe the whole movie. good job to all involved and especially Mike for indeed his unbelieveble effort (to go to Hawaii).

I want to thank you all of those who made the trip, in the time and in the space, to go in California in the '60s last sunday !

I hope you (will) enjoy watching it as I did to do the movie.

Two years ago, before I began the project, I didn't understand why this movie did'nt allready exist ?

I undersand it last sunday watching the movie.

We are talking about cars who are only... small Volkswagens. Volkswagen is not interested in motorsports and a lot of US citizens like US cars.

If all our heros from the past were runing as good as they did in the seventies with Camaros, Mustang, Corvette or any American iron cars... they where a lot more recognize and famous !

But Here, we are in a familly and our grand uncles are always anonimous heroes for there kids ! :)

I began the movie whit intreviews and no films footages from the past. I was watching for them sins our first Cal-Look Movie. Without Result.
But, litle by litle, they come out because people began to believe in the movie project (I was introduce by the schleys... this has opened easely some doors of granaries. I recieve the last super8 movie end of september this year. What a choc to watch thoses missing cars alive !

This movie is for us a big thank you to the VW industry pioneers. And also a esay explanation about some questions ; who was who, wher, and why, usefull for answer to all the vw hard core anthousiasts !
I think we can find a lot of them here :)

We didn't programme zones, so the DVD is multizone, but is in euro PAL.

TexasTom was in town this past weekend, and we paid a visit to the Schley Museum on Sunday after the Porsche Treffen. Much to our delight we were honored with a viewing of this film. It was quite an unexpected treat. It was extra cool having Mark fill in the little details too.
We all enjoyed it very much and I'm looking forward to having a copy of my own to watch over and over again.
