I think this will be a thread with very few answers. Why? Because most people out there build their engines from:

1) following a www recipe

Or

2) copying a engine built earlier

I think experiance is the best calculator. But therefore you must know what you want  :)

what i want is quiet as simple ,my plans a 2276cc super street and racing engine.
Some specifications in my plans are to use a standart AS41 case machine for 82 stroke and 94 piston bore ,Scat volksracer Cam ,scat 5500 pleuel 22 bolt on .Mahle + Pistons and cylinders .Angleflow heads ,about the choice of the valve sice i going to plan 48in and 38 out some people tells that 46 / 37 would be better in case of reaching a peak power at nearly 7500rpm and max torque by 5500 to 5700rpm so how to calculate the right camshaft ,valves ,valve springs ,, pushrods and rocker arms conversion.
