Title: Zero offset Ercos?
Post by: Jon on May 03, 2006, 08:58:05 am
Did DDS make anything similar back in the day? Or is this a new invention...?
How long ago did Erco start making these wheels?

Anyone know the "spun" wheels history? DDS, Michell, Douglas?? More?

Monkiboy, any good tyre fitter should be able to balance them as long as they can balance Ford Transit wheels. They have to use a 'cone' to fill the flipping great hole to balance them

I don`t think this is a period picture.

Between the lines, he is asking why everybody are using zero offset Erco`s when zero offset DDS rims where not availiable.

Or, when was the first zero released on the marked?

The first 0-offset rim was Centerline 3,5"....I would say around 1980 butfirst used on off-road veichles. Spun 0-offset wheels must be mid 90 something.
