Title: Looking for old California show pictures of Bob Scott's Oval
Post by: nigelg65 on January 13, 2011, 15:09:34 pm
About five years ago I bought Bob Scott's Oval from BBT in Belgium (see picture). I would now really like to find some pictures of it from back in the day. Please if you have anything give me a shout, or post here. Cheers. Nigel.

Yes they do, but mine didn't appear on it. Bob's Oval wasn't really for sale. But after a few conversations they were good enough to sell it to me.

This is how I believe the story of that car to be.
Bob Scott and I were good friends.
In the 1990's Bob had sold a number of cars to collectors in Japan.
I remember him telling me about when first purchased this car and a deal was struck to instantly sell it to someone in Japan
but the deal fell through at the last moment.
He asked me if I was interested in buying it, but i passed.
If you knew Bob you would know his motto was "keep it stock", so he didn't want to hang on to this car very long.
I'm not sure who he sold it to, but there is no way the story about Bob taking it to the Bug-In's etc., is true since he didn't have it until long after the Bug-Ins were over.
