Title: Valve adjuster ID Post by: bugnut68 on January 31, 2011, 02:09:18 am Not sure which company's valve adjuster this is, but it came with a set of VW 1.1 rockers and Berg rocker shafts I bought at Sacramento last year. The same guy had an EMPI or other cheap aftermarket shifter with a Berg handle on it amongst his items for sale... ::)
They appear to be a swivel foot with a large foot end but not ball-and-socket nor is it a cup style. They are not cross-drilled with oiling holes, but do have the allen head end for the jamb nuts. I need to know if I need to back cut my CB Performance 1.25 (Super Stock) rockers for them if they are indeed 911 style adjusters. I can't seem to find any adjusters on the Berg, Scat, EMPI or CB web sites that match these. I used them on 1.25's, but needed to shim the rocker stands (or you can cut shorter pushrods).
Title: Re: Valve adjuster ID Post by: DKK Ted on January 31, 2011, 07:22:10 am Yes, those are Berg, Porsche ones have a little longer neck so to speak, for sure you'll have to grind under the rocker to clear the adjuster ball-and socket. The Berg your gonna have to just try it and see, if you do it won't be much. I did with mine on my 1776 motor.
