Technically, back in that period of time, the February 1975 issue was produced during the months of November-December 1974, and went on-sale in January 1975. But I like your idea.... I can't tell you how many people want to find the exact spot that the famous February 1975 cover was shot by Jere Alhadeff. The city of Costa Mesa should place a historical land mark on that spot!

You can literally see our friend Greg's house from where the picture was taken. We've been crashing at his place when we go to VW events for a few years now, we never knew it was so close! Naturally, we had to recreate the event :)

I kinda figured as much tbh Deano... knowing when I've had to get info to one or another of the magazines... its always needed way in advance :) If there was ever something to celebrate, for me, this is it, a huge part of my life (don't know if thats a sad thing, but hey ho).
