Title: merged size
Post by: speedwell on February 07, 2011, 13:41:52 pm
may be a stupid question  ::)

Somebody could give me the various measures for those  in inches and centimeter
 i know there's
1-1/2"
1-5/8"
1-3/4"

i've collected yesterday a merged exhaust for the 1968cc the inside tube measurement is 38mm

thx in advance

Just convert inches to mm.

1-1/2" = 38.1mm
1-5/8" = 41.3mm
1-3/4" = 44.5mm

Or maybe you are asking for the length of the tubes and the length of the merged section ?

Headers are measured by their outside diameter. So if it's 1 1/2" on the ID you have a 1 5/8" (OD) header.

it's 41 mm outside zach
that header will be good for my 1968cc ??? if i'm used 40x37.5 mm heads

stupid question  ??? there is any fitment difference between the 1 3/8" and the 1 5/8" ???  the muffler would be maybe an 1 3/8" and the header is 1 5/8" , any problem with the flange ???

thx fabs

same flange and no problem. you could even fit your single quiet pack if it had its smaller flange and not the big one.
and just to be sure, yes it is a 1 5/8 and it will work great for your plan. all you may need is a set of gaskets that are the correct size.

I noticed the head flanges are thick, maybe a Berg header? Nice header though!
