Title: Please help
Post by: OrangeCountyLook on March 01, 2011, 18:49:27 pm
Hello,

I am ordering full set seat upholstery and carpet kit from vwparts.net for my 1964 Beetle.

I found this picture and this set is bought from TMI. My question is what I have to choose in "Please select your color..." section to get these exactly same. (basketwave, squarewave, OEM, smooth leatherette, OEM Classic, velour...??). For carpets (premium loop or cuptile).

My door cards look like this, I guess my menu colour is brown...

Thanks in advance!

Be very careful when you reassemble your interior. Pay close attention, and place your steering wheel on the correct (not right) side. Evidently, as this photo below displays, someone tossed their interior together. Don't you just hate them tossers..... LOL.  On a more serious note: If this is photo represents the color (not colour) combination of your planned interior, you have my vote. Good luck, and please post your finished project here for all to see.

Thanks for help, I will conatct them. Oh I didn't know it's color I always say colour, shame on me (it's not my native language). I will post pictures when I will be done. What toss exactly means, do something uncarefully or carefully?

Great combination of colors on that interior Chris. And "colour" is ok it's how "color" is spelled in british english and in Canada  ;D

OrangeCountyLook, please allow me to apologize. My comments were meant to be a joke. When I suggested the placement of the steering wheel, it was meant as a pun (joke) for right hand driven vehicles. Also, the word colour is indeed typically British and Canadian. As such, it too was a pun for the Lymies. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Lymie (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Lymie). Yet another stab at the Red Coats.

Ok hehehe :-)

In meantime I found out the code of this interior and when I was about to order it I decided I would like to have fat biscuit interior. I will make it in some dark red colour to be contrast to car's beige colour. Saw this colour combination once on some japanese yellow cal looker in ultra vw and I think it looks amazing...
Problem I have now is that I found lots of fat biscuit interior photos, but are there any drawing with distances, sizes of squares?! What's the history of fat biscuit interior?!
