The Cal-look Lounge

That is the car that got my heart ticking back in 1978.......wow what a cool car......like the overall photos of it and especialy the drag race start picture and engine picture......looks like I still like the way it looked and it still inspires me!!! So I know it was part of the scene, got sold to Dyno and he in his turn sold it to Japan and it all ended with a rod broken after a high speed event on a freeway.......anyone know it's whereabouts and how about some old cool stories from back in its day. I recall it being part of the Head Shop team so there should be some good stories around!!   8)

I remember watching it street race behind Nabisco after a rally.  ;)

shubee watch on the car there's the flag from the dkp display  maybe those pictures were took the same day: front hood open  , doo rs & rear deckid open  ;)

Did it say Nabisco.....and what happened??? give us an input of who was there, who got up against who and how did the shop top do it during the seasson!! ?

Gosh... my memory was pretty addled by excessive consumption of alcohol.

I remember that it squared off against a red...maybe peru red. Manx with Fuchs on it. That's about all I remember.

nice car! I remember adoring it in an early/mid-80s issue of the german custom car magazine "Chrom & Flammen". Lots of cool pictures in it, a shame I haven't got it anymore :-\
