Title: Jetting a Holley 750 for turbo
Post by: flatfire on March 10, 2011, 10:45:34 am
Hi Guys, has anyone used a holley 750 for a turbo application?

I have a 750 holley and I am almost finished my turbo engine. I want a starting point as far as primaries and secondaries are concerned.
Engine 84 crank 94mm pistons AJ Sims LB 5 cam and AJ sims prepped comp eliminators good for in excess of 400 hp.

I want to dial in the car with perhaps 12 psi of boost. The primary in the carb is 70 the secondary 76. The turbo kit is a Ron Lummus. :)

cheers
Peter

I think if you have the carburator from ron the jets would be ok for testing

No Martin the Power valve is open.

Your right Udo the carb should be okay. Ron jets them to suit a particular engine. Being a tight Scot, I bought the turbo kit secondhand even though the kit looked brand new.

Thanks for all the replies :)

Since your power valve is boost referanced you may want to go to the Holley website and retrieve the formula for determining the size power valve you need.  All the jetting in the world will be tough until you get the right power valve in it. Every combo is differant but for referance mine is 4.5  .   Mike

If Ron set the carb up originally it should be close.
