Post by: nicolas on March 13, 2011, 14:17:46 pm
who has them and can they be 'safely' used without other problems? cam is a FK8 or a V26 (which was designed for 1.5's from what i understand) and who sells them?

I know Pauter sells 1.5s.
JPM rockers are spec'd to 1.55:1.
My original Berg 1.45:1 rockers actually measure to 1.553:1 on my current plant.
Often times lower ratio claims will be higher depending on Your set-up and valvetrain geometry.

In my opinion, any ratio will safely work for years as long as they are properly set-up the first time; geometry must be dead on.
I've put well over 60k hard miles on those 1.46 Berg units and never so much as bent a single pushrod ... stating that, it'll probably happen TODAY. ;)
I think also the key is knowing whether your heads can operate (clearances & spring travel!!!) and be efficient with the extra lift; a flow-bench test would give that information.

Hope this helps & Good Luck!
