Title: Help ID this EMPI sump
Post by: Geoff P DVKK on March 15, 2011, 02:23:13 am
Looking for a little info on this EMPI sump. It appears to be made of Magnesium and over the years i've seen a few with the same stamped script like this but don't know the year or other info on it?
I asked Richard Roth but he hasn't seen this type befor...Any ideas? It looks to be an early crude casting with the flat top..

Interesting. Looks just like the two I've had, but without the globe. Even the "E" cast in to the top side of the sump is identical.

The casting appears to be the same, but this is the logo I am familiar with.
I have owned about 20 sumps with the Empi globe cast in and "upside down".
I have never seen one like Geoff's with the large Empi letters stamped in with no globe.
