I Knew Barb Folts Well She is the Sister Of DAVE FOLTS who bulids Hi Performance VW TRANSMISSIONS She Use to Work at A Place called Taco Tio on Whittier Blvd back in the Late 70's, Whittier Blvd. Was a Big Cruise Spot Back in the 70's,80's and early 90's  The Girl Standing in the car used to work at the Auto Haus Warehouse in the office and the Guy worked in the Shipping Dept. At the Auto Haus Warehose  I had A lowered 64 Bug with Chromies and Porsche hubcaps at the time, I met Barb for the first time Driving threw the Drive thu where she worked to get some Food. I Really liked the color of Barbs car so Much When I got My Oval I painted it the same color as Barbs her car had a Big Bore 40 H.P. with an engle 100 cam and S&S Qp Exhaust System, Her Brother Dave at the Time Had A Black 55 Oval which was one of the very first VW to ever use NOS Well Known  Marvin Miller Set up the NOS on Daves Car in the late 70's Daves car was in an old Hot VW's But I cant recall the Year. Getting Back To Barb's Car I use to Cruise Whittier Blvd Every Weekend and Always stopped by to Talk to Barb  I can still Remember sitting in the front pass seat with us both talking about the Vw's around the area. which brings me back to my Oval I bought a 56 Oval Painted it the same Color I put Porsche Alloys and 356A Porsche Brakes,a Berg 69x88 (1700) with 42 DCNF Berg Specials, engle 120 cam, 4 Tuned Qp Exhaust, My Car Also Had The Second 36 HP Dog House Shroud Ever Made back in 1977 It was Hand Made By Steve Walker of European BodyWerks in Glendora Ca. He Has the First one ever made on his 67 These Fan Shrouds were numbered and had a Tag  with The # on the back of the Shroud  Here is a few Pictures of my 56 Oval that was inspired By Barbs Car..

Wow, really love that sunroof car!  More ideas for my Horizon Blue sunroof...

I have Fuchs for it, so it could really be a blend of her & Shubee's car.

As for another girl with a looker, DKK Rick probably knew Lisa Maxwell?  She had a yellow Zwitter I think?

Oh yes I knew "Max"  ;)

Real looker... the car too.  ;D Wonder what happened to her.

I think it was a zwitter... not sure. Anyway it was a '53 split on a later pan... maybe a '67.

I may have a picture of it that I ran across on the internet.

I'll see if I can find it.

Ok, that makes sense.  I remember the car from when Don had it and it was featured in HVW's.....one of the first issues i ever bought.  Nov or Dec of 1980 if I remember correctly?  Any idea where that car ended up?
