Title: Anyone heard about Diamond-like Carbon coatings? Post by: alex d on March 30, 2011, 14:34:04 pm reading about abarth engines and tuners trying to squeeze every hp from those tiny engines this coatings came up, apparently they are the shizznits! anyone tried them in an aircooled VW?

How do you treat the parts prior to sending for coating. If I am not wrong they are pretty strong on fully chamfered and fully polished. I know they do take some second hand parts but oil is nothing they like. What are the costs?
