Title: Need Cam Help
Post by: Derjava66 on April 21, 2011, 04:14:17 am
Hey Guys I tried searching for this info but had no luck, A friend of mine gave me a fresh 1914 that had been sitting unfinished on his garage floor for past 4 or 5 years. It had some rust in the new barells and none of the case holes were covered so I decided a full rebuild was in order. I split the case today and was hoping you guys might know what cam I have. The casting numbers are as follows.
CWC
EP12
C4
D4
And it has 11 stamped on the front of it.

I'm thinking maybe its an engle 110 but it would be nice to know for sure.
Thanks in Advance
Eric

It Could be a CB 2211  cam, they stamp their cams with the last 2 digits of the part number.

Well, yes and no. But that doesnt men that someone opted for that solution  ;) If the heads are untouched they would restrict power a good deal. if the heads are ported well, it could make for a nippy little thang  ;D

I don't want to mention the name of the builder but he was told it was for a baja. They told him torque was important and he based the cam choice on that. Just seems an odd choice to go with stock heads in a non stroker motor. That cam looks to a high RPM power maker and the rest of the motor wasn't built for that.
