Title: Friday night Nick's Burger ( Classic weekend )
Post by: Frenchy Dehoux on May 11, 2011, 16:55:04 pm

The rumor has it that the parking lot across the street from Nick's Burger will not allow anyone to park there on Friday because it is to congested and because the Chinese restaurant was complaning that they had no parking spaces for their customer.

   Thanks
    Frenchy

Even with Rite-Aid closing down, Frenchy? If you're right, it could cause a problem.

Indeed, not true!
Now, regarding the parking lot across the street from Nick's... The Fullerton P.D. and the neighbors have expressed concerned, following last year's chaotic situation. We advise to avoid parking in the said lot. Instead, please park in the nearby streets if possible.
Also, please do not cross the street in front of Nick's (for our foreign visitors: You WILL get a ticket if the police force is watching you!); instead cross the street at the end of the block. And finally, absolutely no alcohol and no burnout this year. These measures have to be enforced, if you want this event to continue in the future!
Thanks for your help!

That's good news Steph that the show will go on. And I agree with your rules of where to park and where to and not to cross. The burnout's I strongly agree. I know we all have a heavy foot, but if we want the DKP Cruz night to continue, we must all show our respect to DKP, Nicks and there neighbors, by doing what stephan says. There is a time and place for this kind of fun, and it's NOT in front of Nick's. My 2 cents and support.

The FPD has turned a blind eye to most all that went on in the past, but after last years moron-athon, they really dont have a choice. How many dumb shits did you see cross the street right in front of oncoming traffic, way to many :-\

Exactly, but watch, there will be those few idiots will try to cross the street with the intentions that they won't get caught. I hope they do. Guy's, just show your respect to this event and all involved and the local neighbors. I for one would like to see this event in the years to come.

I attended last yr and have to say I wasn't aware of the law not cross the road (other than the end of the street) , not that I did, so thanks for pointing that out to us overseas visitors Stephan.
but don't you think there was a lot of police in attendance?? :o I didn't see anything bad............or did I miss something
I totally agree with the preservation of a landmark event, and club.
It was great and I look forward to returning next year.

I'm jealous... wish I could make that event again, I've only been to the Classic once, and that was in 2002.  I just recently bought the Bug Me Video DVD of the 2002 Classic.  I couldn't see myself walking around at any of the events, but I did see my old white '68 at what was then DQ, and also at the Classic... it was like reliving the experience! ;D

Quoting, but not replying to Frenchy.

As I suggested a year ago, either pass the hat or solicit people for parking, a token ($$) of respect for a Chinese merchant won't hurt us.  From his perspective he's done nothing to deserve this disrespect, intentional or not.

I can't make Nick's this time, but I'll gladly mail a five spot to a senior Panzer for a future parking fee.
