A 145/14 is gonna be a little short, IMO. I'd go to a 155 if it's available.

Hi Ted,
I just went through this a few months ago for my Oval, not much out there in a 14"
I ended up with a Firestone F-560 155-14
The tire is about the height of a 135, width is similar to a 145
I'll try to post some photos / measurements tonight.

Thanks Dave. Have a set of 14's with tires. Forget the size at the moment, but they are a wider tire, not to Cal-Lookish. They low like a 145- 14 would be. Ran them on my beater 69' when I worked at Bergs. Don't look bad, just a little wide. When I get home from work, I'll check the size and post. See if I can get a pic also.         Ted

Here you go Ted,
The tire and wheel combo I have for my Oval:
New Firestone F-560, 155R14, mounted on 14X5.5= 23 3/4" tall, 4.5" tread width.
Just for kicks, my M&H specs: 215/65-15 mounted on late 15X6.0= 26 3/4 tall, 6.0 tread width.
Personally, I think the size, looks & profile of these tires are Cal-Look.
Cheers,
Dave

Ok, here is a pic of my 69' beater with 15X6 Late's out back and 14X5.5 on front. And I still have the car.  ;) Please don't laugh to hard.  :-[

Last time I tried to find 145/14 michelins they were unavailable. And that was 26 years ago.

I dig 14's on the front of a looker, but you can't run dropped spindles with them on a ball joint car :/

That's the only thing, I'll have to pull my drop spindles off and put on the stock disk on. BUT, I do have the front end that is in that beater pictured above. Stock width, one piece beam with adjusters, fully rebuilt with stock disk's. That is the plan is to switch out beams. Then run the wheels. I'll loose the ride some, but not to bad. I remember that the ride was not to bad.
