Title: Re: rose city bug-in (P.I.R.) Post by: bugnut68 on July 27, 2011, 21:10:34 pm I asked for Monday Aug. 1 off to make the trip up, but I doubt I'll go. I'd have to drive to Eugene late on Friday in order to make the trip (four hours even) and am not sure I can afford the gas.

Post by: bugnut68 on July 28, 2011, 16:43:46 pm The PIR is a good event, haven't been up there since like 2003, I think? A friend of mine may be coming into town this weekend (a girl, of course! ;D) so that's kind of further keeping me home for the duration... ah well, there's always Sacramento next year! ;D

We had to stand at least 10-ft away from the guard rail. Never again... Wow, that's super weak... on a related note, the worst years of the Rose City Bug-In was when the track itself handled its promotion and organization. Back in the late '90s, there was at least one year where I was shocked how low the turnout was compared to years before. |
