Title: Re: Type 4 center main crank in a mag case. Post by: Udo on September 06, 2011, 18:39:25 pm So did you bore the center to type4 (70mm) and all others to 1 oversize?
Udo Title: Re: Type 4 center main crank in a mag case. Post by: Jon on September 06, 2011, 19:43:54 pm Right now they are all first oversize type 1. The crank wasn't planned at that point.
If you send me your phone number on PM I can call you. Title: Re: Type 4 center main crank in a mag case. Post by: Udo on September 06, 2011, 19:56:23 pm I have a company that does this work fine. So you can use an original Type4 bearing. But it is expensive because it is a lot of work to get the case straight to the other bearings on the machine ...

Like Udo said, it is possible to align bore for type 4 center bearing. But the total cost is not worth it IMHO. It is cheaper, to detune the case and get yourself a new case with standard specs. Torben |
