So with engine prices these days its hard to put a price on such a custom engine, that will have no miles on it etc.

So £7000 gets you this motor, in many ways the money you save is like having all the custom machine work done

Well after discussing it with my brain trust, the verdict is that it won't be suitable for my '67.  :(

It is a heck of a deal though. Good luck with the sale.

Yes, that's not something you can write off. I would be demanding my money back. For whatever reason given, a refund for the parts should have been given by now and at least a 'sorry but I can`t supply you with' .  I get annoyed when I hear of this sort of thing, you can only be so nice for so long.  Its just not fair and not right.

its a bit more difficult than asking for a refund. I have un known to me at the time, purchased a "contract " for the engine which means dealing with Jeff is my responsibility,  I have already been to court in the UK over this.

The courts suck balls, that for sale add doesn't read like you were buying a contract to me Dave.

Hope you get a resolution to this soon, it's been way too long.

The worst thing in that case of issue is seeing people wasting their time on facebook instead of getting the work they've been paid-for done, while willingly and openly ignoring customers. If you don't have enough time to do some work or you just don't want to do it, then just refuse to do it and refund. Happened to me a couple of times in the past but with a lot less of money and time involved, so I can only imagine how you are feeling.

exactly. if you are paid for a job then get on and do it.  don't take the piss just because the other person is in another country.

Does America have a small claims court or something similar to that?

Hi,

I know you probably don't want to hear the this but I would jump on a plane and get over there. It might cost you a £1000.00 round trip but at least you won't be ignored.. Stanton is easy to get to from LAX.
I have been to Jeff's shop a number of times and I had to wait over a year for part's, but standing in front of him makes it a lot harder to fob you off. I believe Jeff will come through but 5 years...ouch..

Good luck :-[

Lee

from what he says , he has no money.  I would probably get a dollar a month for the rest of his life.

If I was to jump on a plane and visit him, he would soon disappear as he knows I would have to go back at some point.

I don't get how Jeff cannot work his way through this, he's a name that has been around for so long, half the dkp guys use his heads. With a rep like his he should be able to work 7 days a week to get himself out of trouble.  I know what it's like being self employed, when you run into trouble you have only one choice and that's to put in the effort to work yourself out of it.

I hope Jeff comes good, I don't enjoy hearing stuff like this about him, but he's really got himself to blame  >:(
