Thanks for any help Don't laugh, but from my experience Bugpack has the best smooth rubber going. When Ronnie Silva went to Bugpack he found a vendor who extrudes rubber for the aerospace industry. The compound is right and the shape is great--I've run it on two '58-'64 cars and the corners lay flat. If you pull the exterior 'flap' of rubber out of the window opening when you set the window you can install the glass without even smacking it or using spray soap (use thin chute cord). In the seven years that rubber was in my wife's Baja it never cracked or checked--it's about as nice as the day we installed it. I have some spare '64-earlier rear quarter window rubbers that I'll give to you if you want to give them a shot. |
