The RED HOT plays live, so pure rock"n"roll by Finnish guys. 1/4 mile at least 6 hours non-stop...

Allmost 140 drivers joined. People all over Finland were there, also Tallinn + St Petersburg VW-guys were there. Where were all the Norwegians + Swedes??? We had enough Lapinkulta and sauna waiting for you...

102 drivers were on the strip, 254 starts allmost non-stop. Only one paus 30min, when we had the engine-blow showtime. Std 1200 cc engine lasted 14minutes on max rpm without belt(oil in). Some VW-guys drove their new records, also 10.0 sec street Corvette was there just for fun. There will be timelists etc on www.vw-open.fi soon best type 1 was -65 German-look beetle with nice 18"wheels Porsche-brakes, fine sport interior + stroker off cource best type 2 was sonderbuss -57 with airsuspesion best type 3 was -68 variant with ATS wheels + stroker special award was given to a -54 Porsche 356 which was on the strip also! 14th VW-OPEN is now seen, let see what happens next...
