Title: Merry Christmas everyone...
Post by: rick m on December 25, 2011, 07:04:58 am
Just a note to say Merry Christmas and hope all of you enjoy the company of those who matter most to you tomorrow. Christmas is a great time to reflect upon those things that have real meaning in our lives.  This year my Christmas present to my wife is a work in progress that will be on wheels by March.  While I still love cruising in the chop...I'm building us some summer fun right now.  Here is a shot of my wife Anne standing by her Christmas present project.  It is a present we will all enjoy for years to come.  Have a great Christmas everyone!

Thanks Tom. No Subaru or V8 motors for me.  Will be one of my dry sumped Blow Thru turbo VW engines.  Love the last one so I will have to do another one! Stay tuned!  Once the temps get back into the 70's will have to finish up the decklid and apron of the chop top and get them painted for Spring and Summer events! What do you have lurking Tom...now that I see you picked up a GODZILLA motor package from Jeff Denham?  :-)

Yeah, yeah Rick ... it should be quite a learning experience as all of the machine work and design is still in the air on that one.
Of course the first intention is to build the motor from H-E-double-toothpicks, but then again, what would a 3.5 liter motor do with a stock (or near stock) cam & valve train???
115 HP and 400 ft.lbs. ??? :D

Yep, let's get back into the 70*s and the scribbling may be on the wall ... ;)

Christmas was Great!
Hope y'all have a very nice New Year!!!

Here is another progress shot with some tubing added to the back....Not Cal Look but built by a Cal Looker!  :-)  The Chop is nestled in the garage and the extended bus cab has to wait until the buggy is done.  To many irons in the fire!
