Title: Potential EMPI GTV, or just a poor facsimile?
Post by: bugnut68 on January 11, 2012, 19:47:18 pm
http://redding.craigslist.org/pts/2793690334.html

Just curious, as the C stripe got me curious, plus what appear to be scoops on the rear air intake vents... $200 for the shell, but I'm not close enough to look at the car myself in person...

Obviously a fake , look to be the original body colour masked in before being blown over in white ,
BUT .......
Could well be worth the $200 , coz if those flared rear arches are steel one's like the one's to be found adorning Der Express ,
well hen's teeth are more plentiful   ;)

here's the car before or when chris morley owned
and here's what someone said to me about that car : That car was originally from Louisiana and it's title had GTV on it because the guy that owned it registered it with the GTV as the model. That car was for sale for years before it ended up in California. The guy that had it told me it wasn't an original GTV and that the kit was put on it in the 80s
