Post by: Jason Foster on January 23, 2012, 19:24:51 pm
After about a year down my car is at last back in action here's a few shots

Interior has new seats, harnesses, roll bar, headliner and carpet
Thanks to Rick Sadler and his major help the engine is all fresh and ready for action.

Looks AWESOME, Jason! Must be a GREAT feeling ... when will it be back on track? ;)
Change the engine any, or just freshen?
Really dig those seats too ... what brand?
Hmmm ...

Thanks for all the compliments guys,

Tom, they are Beard seats, the engine is same combo but cam went from FK10 to FK46 and I probably will beat on it at Drag Day in March.

Clean, clean clean.  What a trophy your car is.  Bet those Beard seats are comfy, especially when you have those harnesses strapped down.

Look'n REALLY good . like the car year, car color, black engine trim, cam choice... ;). Plus the seats and roll bar choice send a nice message. Can't wait to hear some e.t. #'s. What compression did you end with ? If only change in motor was cam, would like to hear your drivability thoughts, I really liked my k 10 to fk46 change.  bill

Jason...........did you paint your dist. cap, or were you able to buy a black one?   I'm wanting a black one, but not sure if the paint will melt it or not.

Wow thanks for all the kudos guys,

Zach I always like the way you put things.

Mark I knew you'd like that.

Eric it's not painted it's molded black.

Bill not much time on motor yet but the off idle transition and throttle response seem great.

dkp does it again! that looks fantasic! i keep going back to the engine shot, the way the idas pop out of the engine bay really draws your eye into them, kinda makes me wonder if thats how the old guys felt when they first saw a decklid open with a pair of em in there!!

Very Nice Indeed!  How was the engine tin finished? If you don't mind me asking,  Is it powder coated or painted and what kind of paint or powder coat?

looks like CSP linkage?

Title: Re: Back on the road at last
Post by: Jason Foster on January 25, 2012, 02:58:58 am
yup csp linkage.

two different levels of matte black, powder coated. the tins and oil filler cap are one shade (BK08)  and the manifolds, velocity stacks and linkage are a flatter shade (silky satin black).   done at Newport Mesa powdercoat.

Diggin' the stealth power plant! It's hard to tell but, does the alt. have a wrinkle finish to it? Looks great! The whole car has now more of an aggressive look to it.
