Title: How to plug the oil relief piston bore
Post by: Peter on January 26, 2012, 12:24:57 pm
Guys,
Soon, I will get rid of the oil pressure pistons and control oil pressure with a filter holder from Jaycee.
Can anyone tell me the easiest way to plug the stock oil relief bore at the FW side?
I hope this will cure my low oil pressure problem   :'(

I think its a bad crank case that i bought (alu), and the relief piston doesnt close off 100 % so when the oil is warm I have no oil pressure...

Use two control pistons open end to open end. Slide those into the bore. Then use one of those "Adjustable Pressure"  plugs with the screw in the center to jam the two pistons up tight to their seat. Done!
