Title: CSP disc brakes on dropped spindles
Post by: Jesse/DVK on February 23, 2012, 15:15:02 pm
Currently i'm running a set of CSP front disc brakes on my '64 beetle (link pin) with stock drumbrake spindles. To get more comfort I would like to install dropped spindles. Does anyone now if they fit dropped spindles. BTW are there any differences on the spindles which are offered by different shops? Offset and quality?

Thanks

When I bought mine I had to order specific ones to go on CB dropped spindles. Not sure what the difference is though.

I run mine with dropped spindels on my 67 (ball joints)...
Fits perfect!

I have seen a non dropped spindle, disc kit , I cannot remember the make, fitted to dropped spindles.

The problem was the caliper did not clear  the dropped spindle. Making a guess, the disc kits for use with dropped spindles have the caliper in a different place around the disc, than the disc kits for standard spindles.

yes, you are right.
CSP offeres them in a special version for dropped spindels.

Thanks for the replies. As I already have their brake setup I will send them an E-mail to see if the parts are available seperately.
