Title: 2276cc t1 with 180 ft/lbs torque
Post by: Bad bug on March 04, 2012, 13:42:31 pm
Good day All,

Has anyone here done a 2276cc engine that made 180 ft/lbs of torque at the wheels need the combo for that, also what is the most whp and torque you can get from a 2165cc engine. I need to decide which crank i will be using in my build.

As it is now i am after a certain torque to the wheel figure as you can see. Engine will be natural aspirated.

With a few more cc's, my 2332 cc made 180 HP and 170 ft lb to the wheels with IDA's on 91 octane, web 86C, CB 044 heads ported by K-Roc 44 x 37 valves and 10.5:1 CR:

I'm sure with some additional tuning or head work, you could get 180 torque...

Hey neil,

I wanted to build a 2332cc t1 but the fact that i might have to slap the cylinder head tins to have them sit on the heads properly didn't appeal to me that's the reason for stepping down to a 2276cc engine however a 2165 would be better.

not sure if i understand this correctly, but to me Mahle B's have the same deckhight as a standard 1600 engine if i am correct. on my 2276 i used 1mm shims, the tin fitted nicely.
