Title: Removing Berg Locking Shifter

I'm sure I have over looked something- but I'm having trouble removing the front (forward) Berg locking shifter bolt. while the until is installed in a car.  Any idea's or instructions?

Hi Troy,
 Can you see the bolt? If memory serves me correct, the shifter first has to be unlocked and placed in neutral.
Next, You need to loosen the top plate(with a allen Key I think it is on one end.
Then slide the top. I think it slides up towards the front of the car. Then you have access to bolts.
Not sure if you have got the top slide up, but if memory serves me correct that's how it was on mine.
 Let me know if you need more help. I can go out to my car and take a closer look!

Just like 65bug stated, unlocked, remove the allen bolt in front and give it a wack with your palm or rubber mallet
pushing it forward. if your going to reinstall it I would scrib or make a mark to indicate it's location, that would help on adjusting it later,
other than that remove the two mounting bolts like any other shifter. if  you need it, I think a have the instructions I can fax you
