Title: 1200cc type1 engine parts needed - Norway :) Post by: Lee.C on March 18, 2012, 13:34:54 pm Well as always guys as the title says........ I have a 1964 (ish) 1200cc type1 fire/waterpump enine that I am converting for use in the 51 this summer, But being a fire/waterpump there are a few small differences ::)
Firstly the motor has only done 150hrs (confirmed on the gauge) so I won't be pulling the "bottom end" apart, just changing the oil etc, I will have to pull the heads off though as all the ports have "oxodized" where the pump has been sitting in storage for YEARS. So here is what I need guys: - x1 original standard flywheel - x1 original 1200 style fan housing (with all the flaps/rods/etc) - x1 original VW thermostat control rod - x1 original VW thermostat & mounting bracket - x2 original VW Heatexchangers - x1 original GERMAN Bosch 009 distributor OR somewhere that can rebuild/recurve the original Magneto that is current fitted So let me know what you got guys or if you can help in ANY way (ie with the Mag) Title: Re: 1200cc type1 engine parts needed - Norway :) Post by: Jon S on March 18, 2012, 13:38:35 pm I think I have something..
