Hi out there in VW world. If you are interested in rebuilding or buying SPG roller crankshafts that is what I do for a living. I know there are many questions out there so ask away. Gary

This is great news. I've also been planning on running my 82mm SPG for a few years but wanted it checked out just to be on the safe side. It could be NOS and has never been pinned or welded. Can you give me an idea on what it's going to cost to have it stripped, checked and pinned please Gary?

Also, what's your opinion on the maximum compression ratio I could use? I've been told no more than 9.5-1, it will be running Hilborn and a Hunt Magneto, but would prefer to keep it on high octane pump gas if I can. I understand that any detination destroys the rollers and bearing cases.

Cheers
David
