Title: Performance Gearbox and Turbo Pistons for Sale Post by: Green Goblin on April 21, 2012, 11:23:21 am The Gearbox out of my race car is for sale having just changed to a 091 set up.
I do not know a great deal about it as the box came with the car when I bought it. But from a magazine I found this information: Its a 1303 based IRS Box, with strengthened side plate, Ultra Diff, close ratio 1.58 3rd Gear and 1.04 4th Gear and final drive is 3.88. The box has been great for me and handled up to 200 BHP with no problems. When I started to put more than 200 HP through it the standard 1303 CVs started to fail but the box was still fine. Box was removed this week and was working fine. Box comes with drive shafts and CVs, some new and some 2nd hand spares. Looking for £700 ono. I also have a Wiseco Forged Piston Kit. The pistons are dished for running high boost on a turbo setup and come with the rings etc. This kit is brand new in the box. I'm just looking for a strong gearbox but I'm on swingaxle , si this won't work . I have an MSD 6AL on spare , so this was a good opportunity for a win-win .... I think my Racho gearbox didn't handle the new engine so well at Gary's last month :'( Greetz Marc |
