Title: Fuchs on late model Post by: volksnut on April 23, 2012, 01:26:50 am Thinking of changing the Amercian's out for a set of either Fuchs (Porsche pattern no adapters) or maybe some Erco type wheel (either 4 lug or Porsche pattern). My car is a 72 standard with IRS....anyone with size/offset fitting ideas, rear tires will be the M@H 215/65-15's, and I have a 2" narrowed beam
Title: Re: Fuchs on late model Post by: Zach Gomulka on April 23, 2012, 02:06:18 am I think your current wheels make your car really stand out, so don't change them!
But if you must... I think Erco's (or similar wheels) only look right in wide 5. A 6" Porsche wheel works great on a 2" beam with drop spindles, use a 175/65 or 185/60 tire. 6" Porsche wheels will work in the rear also. 7" needs narrowed trailing arms to fit in the fender. Why not put the M&H's on the Americans? Why not put the M&H's on the Americans? Yeah I kinda always thought that, and yeah I could just put them on those wheels...and spend the $ on something else Title: Re: Fuchs on late model Post by: TexasTom on April 23, 2012, 03:41:52 am Late 6s & 7s with 185/60-15s front, 215/60-15s rear.

Title: Re: Fuchs on late model Post by: javabug on April 25, 2012, 13:42:26 pm Hey Tom, what offset are the rear wheels...can I get a 4 1/2" offset with a total of a 7" wheel in there, mine has drum brakes with stock trailing arm? I checked with a friend running 7s with drums and stock arms. With 205-70/15 tires it does rub the sidewalls a little. A 65-series might change things.
