The Cal-look Lounge

I'm having a bit of a clearout, trying to raise some cash and make some space!

First up is a set of original Empi Sprintstars - chrome, not painted. They're 4-bolt, 4.5" with the nice offset to fit Ghia's and Type 3s, so look good on a Cal Look Beetle too!

Two are in good condition, two are not so good, but there's a good story why! These wheels were apparently fitted to a Karmann Ghia from new in Huntington Beach, California, and the owner used to park with one side facing the coast every night when he came home from work. Unsurprisingly, the coast side of the car didn't fare as well as the land side, and eventually the car was scrapped in the late 90's, but the wheels made their way over to the UK where they went on to a street/strip Beetle.

The good pair are fitted with Firestone F-560 145 tyres for the front and the not-so-good rear ones fitted with Barum 165's. The tyres are all good and really don't have a huge amount of wear. There are a full set of centre caps, but these are the chromed plastic repro ones.

I've started to give the wheels a tidy up - I've stripped the black detail paint off one (by hand with a stanley knife blade - no chemicals here!) and have started to repaint it in a decent satin black. I'll do the rest as it really smartens them up.

I've got them up on another forum at £400ono, but Lounge price is £350. They're in the UK (Wolverhampton, West Midlands) and I'd prefer collection but I could pack them up for a courier.

Second is a Buggy shell - it's an East Coast Manx in bright red, never fitted, no holes drilled or anything. Bought with my Dad and a mate and realistically we're never going to build it so it may as well move on and get used. It's the body and the bonnet, no side pods, in bright red gel coat with satin black gel coat under the sides.

Cost £1150 from East Coast Manx, we'd like as much as we can back for it! Make an offer!

Also got a set of Porsche cookie cutters off a 911, 6" fronts and 7" rears. They've got some lacquer lift but they'll clean up ok with a little work. I'll take £200 for them.
