since its kinda hard to read emotion or tone in an internet post is the op saying the first car should not be in dkp ? or that his intent was to be funny ?

no  i asked that , because that car was sometime in the line up of dkp  and normally after the dkp cruise night before vw classic  ,the dkp always announces the new members and this time there was nothing that's all

and i always have to notice that the cars which were always  time to time in the line up , eventually were members

that's all

Dave is correct. I asked Troy about the handle position the first night I saw his car at Nick's before he got in the club. He told me it was to make more room. Pretty cool idea!

Dave and Fred are correct,
The North/South Berg handle position has become my calling card.  I'm 6'5" and this simple tweak gives me more leg room, try it on your next long drive.  It all started becasue I kepted missing second gear (hitting my leg at the end of the shift) in my DRKC 1960 before it became my fulltime racer.  Shreck no, GRANDE GRINGO maybe!
