Title: An Atomic Bomb vs. Sticks and Stones! Brian Hyerstay: Please Read!!
Post by: Taylor on September 01, 2012, 03:06:44 am
Well my subscription to Hot VWs ran out a while back and I haven't renewed it yet so, today I drug my wife down to the local VW shop in hopes that they would still be receiving them earlier than the news stands and book stores.  I told her I couldn't wait any longer than absolutely necessary to see Brian's new motor.  When I pulled up and headed in, a woman came out informing me they were closing but if it was something small I could "hurry up,"  I told her I only needed the new Hot VWs and to my surprise she handed it, to me, through the door and said, "no charge, have a good weekend!"  I couldn't believe it, I'm still a little surprised.

Anyway back to the point...

I would just like to thank Dean for not only writing this article, but very subtly rubbing it in to the rest of us mere mortals, as Richie Webb would say, that he got to see THE BADDEST, NA, TYPE 1 VW motor ever built, by anyone... EVER!  I would also like to thank Brian Hyerstay for building it.  A lot of work went into it, which shows, and in 4 pages made it obvious that anyone out there that was thinking that had a pretty bad piece sitting behind them in their car was dead WRONG!

I mean look at that thing, 1/8 VW, 3/8 Fuhrmann, 1/2 911... for a total of 1 BAD ASS master piece!!!!

I am pretty sure the G/D record is coming back to the west coast with this little A-Bomb and the rest of us will have to go back to playing with our sticks and stones!  Good job Brian and Thank you Dean
Taylor
P.S. let me know when and where your first division race will be Brian and I am there!

Sorry I didnt get to meet you Brian, I saw you were busy helping Larry in Sacramento.  Please keep us posted when you decide to run the car. I'm sure there's more than a few of us that would love to go to a Northwest divisional race to see the car run.
