That's insane! Tor Øyvind's car is something else... When I talked with him after Scc he had good hopes, as the eightmile times reaveled potential of F A S T runs if the track was good enugh... I guess he was right...  And while he deserves all the credit for an amazing engine and car, it has to be said that Jens Petter is no slow shifter either... H pattern isn't the quickest system :o And as to the material of his balls, let's just say it's amazing that he is a dad!!!

Totally amazing, well done to all involved,I think what you have achieved is incredible anyway, but to do it with a floorpan car is just mind blowing :o  Now everyone else needs to work harder to even get close, hopefully there is some video of this to watch,we can all learn from what you have achieved :)

cheers richie

How many Volkswagens are faster than this?

If I'm not mistaken two cars in the USA are in the sevens...

Holy C...!!!!

and when you think of how the Skinne beetle loves to play it wide, I was wondering if we, here on the lounge, had to chip in for a wheelbarrow to Jens Petter?! So he wouldn't get a sore back... .... I was thinking of the size of the man's cojones!!! :o :o :o

I think Tor Oyvind has this car so well set up that it would be slower in most race cars, now what could Tor oyvind Skinne do with if he built a car specifically for the purpose of 1/4 mile, that really would be interesting 8)

Lets hope he doesnt though, already they make the rest of us look foolish :o :(

I've thought about something ....can you get a HK situation where the theory curve bends ... and now suddenly it's better to weigh more, ??? for some kind of stability or...??!?

CONGRATULATIONS to ALL the team! :o :) :)

Just back after a FANTASTIC weekend at Kjula / Sweden. A big congratulation to Team Skinne and also to Niklas that managed a 9.55 - 142mph with his little 1641ccm engine!

Some pictures from the weekend, first off the new adjustable rear wing and air intake;

It actually created so much down force that it bent the rear apron so they had to adjust it for the next run.

Seeing is believing and look at that 1/8 mile, 5.19 and 141 mph  :o Apparantly the down force slowed the car down.

The driver enjoying a small champagne after finishing 4th overall in the super interesting 4to6 class and the 8.02 ET. They tried hard to back it up today but was fighting with minor clutch/launch issues. I really hope they will find motivation and time to take the car to Tierp in 2 weeks time  and that track is so good that anything can happen.

And Niklas celebrating his first 9:

Thank you everyone for giving me loads of motivation! WOW!!

This is how a 400+ hp 1641ccm engine looks like:

And if you`re interested in turbos and fast cars then Kjula and 4to6 is the place to be:

A super nice Corolla:

A amazing Opel with a Volvo engine:

A Mitsubishi out on the strip for the first time. Managed a low 9 (!) and was put on a trailer due no cage or ET tag:

The 900+ WHP General Lee Audi.. go to youtube and find some crazy videos:

And to bring it back to topic, Absolut Folka was there:

And so was this fast car:

Sunday racing did not go as we had hoped . Did an 8,66 going of the throtle and out out the track and inn again (bad traction/ cold). First run showed to my much wheelspin so we put some more slip on the clutch for next run. That was to mutch for the discs, so the clutch was gone . Unfortunately we could not back up the 8,02 but are really happy anyway . The new wing and air intake seemed to work nice.

Best wishes
Team Tor Øyvind Skinne Racing

Only a 8.66,that must be horrible to go that slow :o I still dream of going that slow ;D I mean fast :)  did you manage any other passes on the saturday? car looked super smooth so you must have the clutch set up pretty close to perfect now,can you say what single thing made the most improvement from SCC?

Hope you get a chance to run again this year :)

The car is swee Skinne! I'd like to see a pick of your rear IRS trailing arm set up. The car does not look to be raised or narrowed in the rear. I read that you are running a 7675 turbo. That is huge! Must take some Rs to get it to build 40#s of boost. Is it journal or ball bearing?
Thanks
