I got an engine with Kugelfischer injection and (I guess...) IDA-size throttle bodies. The butterflies are 2", it says "KRE" on them. Could this be Kawell Racing Engines? Hot VW's or perhaps VW Greats back in the old days.(late 70's early eighties?) did a feature on them. I have a set and was able to bore them to 56mm. You may be able to go larger if you dont need the nozzle air bleeds. Title: Re: Please help ID throttle bodies - KRE? I came to the same conclusion about it being Krawell, but have not confirmed it. They are the same as ARPM from "back in the day."

I have a set that looks like that and I am pretty sure mine are Hilborn. Now the only difference is the barrel metering valve casting. Maybe done by Hilborn both of them?
