Title: new member late late looker project Post by: baz on October 26, 2012, 23:33:12 pm Hi all new member here from Ireland. this is my project 77 bug soon to have a little cal look treatment.

Sadley I didn't write down the brand :(

Sadley I didn't write down the brand :( looking good cheers. the front sections i got have a large recess from the napolean hat section back to the first rib stamping in the og pan. not entirely original looking but good to fit the pedal mount bar Title: Re: new member late late looker project Post by: baz on November 26, 2014, 11:34:47 am 2 year old thread back from the dead. Thought I'd add a little update. Things stalled when I moved to the UK in early 2013, the bug stayed at home while I found my feet in a new country and with a new career too. I didn't touch the car until summer this year when I took a weeks holiday to try get the car back together so it could be transported over to the UK.
A friend in ireland had finished off welding in the irs conversion I had started, another friend called over one evening and welded in my new floor pans. The heater channel bottom plates will come off so I can blast and paint inside the channels, the whole underside of the body like over the gearbox and under the fuel tank will get blasted and repainted too. Cheers yeah I think Simon is glad I left ireland as I was always calling on him to weld this or that over the years, colm is a fellow vw guy and has some good fabrication skills, he was the right man to finish the irs for me.
