Title: Berg does 58 and 60 mm Carburators Post by: Frallan on December 08, 2012, 15:05:23 pm I must admit I was owner of a set of 62 Terminators few years ago. Never ran them....other story.
Anyway, now helping a friend find a set of 58-62 mm, I came across that Gene Berg lists a good selection of new ones. From their castings and even 48 to 60mm. Just FYI. Berg gave a shop tour and I saw a bunch of Berg IDA castings but she said they had flaws and she was not going to get more made due to high costs. /Rolf DK. We have a set of 58IDAs and had to repair them due to poor castings that leaked in several places. They are about 15 years old, but I have a set of Dellortos that I have had since new that are 20 years old and they're ok.

Just felt GB was the better option from Terminators. Title: Re: Berg does 58 and 60 mm Carburators Post by: leec on December 08, 2012, 21:30:16 pm There's a pair of 58mm terminators on the samba at the mo for $2500.

I can trade with some stuff......hmmm. Probabaly with some money too. Title: Re: Berg does 58 and 60 mm Carburators Post by: Frallan on December 11, 2012, 01:35:00 am Quote Al at GB;
"You are correct in that we do not currently have any 58/60mm carbs for sale. The problem is not with the casting, but finding the time to machine them. They are a very time consuming part and we have other more pressing parts that require machine time. We will be re-visiting them in the future, but I do not have a delivery date. " This is part of my conversation with Al Title: Re: Berg does 58 and 60 mm Carburators Post by: DKK Ted on December 11, 2012, 05:36:05 am Here is (Jack's) JC number, 714-444-4344, try giving him a call.

Probabaly with some money too. Hi Fredrik Yes, I would gladly get rid of them even though they are now functioning as they should, but the problem is what can I use instead? The engine is 2800cc T1 86x101.6 with 15:1, 54Ti X 40Ti angle flow heads and fk98. Basically need to support about 300hp. Title: Re: Berg does 58 and 60 mm Carburators Post by: Frallan on December 12, 2012, 00:57:51 am Chris!
You need to pop up compression to max (16:1 or more, jikes!) and go E85. Then MS or DTA injection......he he ;) Title: Re: Berg does 58 and 60 mm Carburators Post by: jaqo on December 12, 2012, 07:48:41 am A little bit more and we could use diesel fuel:D
Having so many projects going on in the shop now, I don't think we have time to convert it to injection. Well, I had to try. Diesel, good idea...go go Title: Re: Berg does 58 and 60 mm Carburators Post by: jaqo on December 13, 2012, 03:41:18 am A little bit more and we could use diesel fuel:D Having so many projects going on in the shop now, I don't think we have time to convert it to injection.
