Title: Re: Don Brown 67 Post by: Sarge on December 18, 2012, 16:34:56 pm What exhaust does he run? It's an A-1 1 5/8" Sidewinder. I think it looks perfect on his car with the exhaust cut-outs closed up. Title: Re: Don Brown 67 Post by: AntLockyer on December 18, 2012, 17:02:38 pm Cool thanks. I liked the tuckaway look I used to have but the loop out and back used to bug my. That looks great.

Pretty sure they are these http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-7-Crystal-Headlights-Lamps-with-10-LED-Amber-Marker-Turn-Signal-Lights-/110969346085?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_100&hash=item19d649d825&vxp=mtr (http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-7-Crystal-Headlights-Lamps-with-10-LED-Amber-Marker-Turn-Signal-Lights-/110969346085?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_100&hash=item19d649d825&vxp=mtr) I just installed a set on my '70. They are a little too modern/fancy/tuner car for my taste, but they seem to be pretty decent, and they solve the shaved turn signal issue for not much money. I am still trying to get the turn signals to work on mine with these new lights. Flashers work perfect and really bright, but no turn signals with the new front LED's. I tried a new turn switch and an electronic flasher. Brian Title: Re: Don Brown 67 Post by: kev d on December 19, 2012, 10:08:20 am Thats a very nice car 8) 8)

Flashers work perfect and really bright, but no turn signals with the new front LED's. I tried a new turn switch and an electronic flasher. Brian Brian, The LED turn signal lights need some "resistance" added to your system. Incandescent bulbs have electrical resistance, and it's that resistance that makes the flasher work in your car. By adding your new "no resistance" bulbs (LED's) it's just like the same problem you have when one bulb burns out and the turn signals stop working. The fix is going to Radio Shack and buying a couple of different resistors (different ohm ratings) and put one "in line" with the wire that powers each turn signal bulb. They are really cheap, only a couple of dollars. Make sure you test the resistor with a Multi Meter first so you get the direction (polarity) correct, because they are directional, like "electrical one way check valves". I'm not a electrical engineer, just an old guy, that has been down this road fixing "crotch rockets". Title: Re: Don Brown 67 Post by: Peter on December 19, 2012, 20:03:02 pm Guys,

Title: Re: Don Brown 67 Post by: AntLockyer on December 20, 2012, 00:15:05 am 6 ohm resister in paralel to the leds 'should' do it depending on your flasher relay. You'll need it to dissipate some heat though so get a heat sink style one like this
