I did my whole setup (with help!), all the trans mounts etc. custom made. It took ages. Then I went to the track. Then I went home and threw some of that that lot in the bin and started again. Remade mounting plates etc. and hey presto lovely launches. Turns out it was way too low first go around. Up to you where you start at but I'd aim for at least a couple of inches, if not three. But again it's all specific to your setup.....
