I'm actually looking for a pair of them. I like how they look on the front, short overall diameter but gives you some sidewall for good ride quality.

Looks bitching though :)

Zach, I agree. Plus, many people used to run 14" wheels on the front (or even all around) on Cal Lookers back in the old days.

The 14's work nice on a bus too.  You can get a wider variety of decent 185 and wider radials in the 14" size that work well on early or even later buses.

They would be for the front of a bus. Will run late 15's in the rear.

I'm going to pass on these extra wheels that Ed has. They are VERY fairly priced and in very good condition, in fact much nicer than I want! I hope someone here scoops them up.

That might be the perfect wheel for the front of a transporter. The 14" Fuchs have a 45mm ET. I believe stock transporter wheels had about 40 to 42mm ET. You could make up the difference with longer studs and spacers if you had to.

A 195/70R15 tire looks great on the front of a lowered late transporter. It's 24.8" tall, or about 3/4" shorter than stock.

Thanks, I think it will look great. Planning on 175/70's on the 14x5.5's. 3 1/2" lowered (flipped) spindles. 944 disc brake conversion. Rear will have 15x6 late alloys, 195/70's, IRS with 944 brakes also. Split window bus...

Yes, I'm collecting parts for a car I don't yet own ;D
