I'd start with 135 main jet, F2 emulsion tube, 60 fuel idle jet and 180 air corrector and make sure your float levels are exactly as Weber lists in their manualI Build a 1700cc 'Back In The Day' Motor. 88mm pistons kit machining Engle 120 + rockets 1,25 Flywheels weighed 200mm, damper ported and polished heads 40 x 35.5 high compression 9,4:1 Manifolds DDS linkage DDS Asking for 48IDA : What put in ??? I use some 34mm venturis to get the throttle response where I wanted it. Yes, unless you run a 'hit pile of compression, small chokes would be the way to go. Back in the day, smaller than 37s were just not around...I use some 34mm venturis to get the throttle response where I wanted it.
