Post by: whirligig on April 21, 2013, 16:03:20 pm
rod, crankcase, barrell and any other bits as we had what looks like from the bits picked up off the strip a rod bolt come loose and fall out.bts of broken big end came out of top of case(as they do).old 1679 will have to go in for springspeed, back in the 15s then.with all the chassis suspension mods we were pleased with a 13.5 off the trailer and the burn out worked on 2nd run ,I know thatas it griped and made here bog .any cheap    casesgoing

Dave, highs and lows...
Well done for getting the car back on track and bummer about the engine. Btw, little engines are great fun... Found that out using the 1584 after the 2276 expired in a similar fashion!

What journals are they? You might be able to get them turned down to a smaller size, VW to Chevy for example, but don't know how that would affect the surface hardening.
